Everyone knows that vitamins are essential to health, which may explain why multi vitamins have become the most popular of the dietary supplements. Whilst they are not a substitute for a balanced diet, there are certain circumstances when multi vitamins may indeed be particularly beneficial.

Make Up For Deficiencies

The main reason to take any kind of dietary supplement is because your diet has nutrient deficiencies. This may be because you do not have access to the necessary foods, such as fruit and vegetables; it may be because your age, health or other circumstances can mean you need more nutrients than are readily available. One of the things that can influence your ability to consume enough nutrients is age.
